Respect and Compassion
When I think about Charlie Kirk, one of the first things that comes to mind is how he carried himself. Unlike so many in today’s political landscape, Charlie was never combative, degrading, or demeaning toward his rivals. He didn’t rely on insults, mockery, or attempts to tear others down to prove his point. Instead, he showed something rare: respect and compassion, even toward those who disagreed with him the most.
Charlie believed that true conviction didn’t need to be loud, cruel, or destructive. His calm but firm way of debating earned respect because it wasn’t just about winning an argument—it was about connecting with people, planting seeds of thought, and leading with integrity.
How Charlie Changed My Views on Abortion
I’ll be honest—Charlie’s words on abortion changed my heart. He helped me see that no matter the circumstances of conception, life is still life. Even in tragic and devastating cases such as rape, as hard as that may be, it is not the fault of the innocent baby. That child has done nothing wrong. Ending its life doesn’t bring healing; it only creates more loss.
I came to believe that abortion in such cases denies a child the chance to live, love, and grow. And while the mother may face an incredibly difficult journey, I also believe it’s possible that once she sees the child, she may fall in love with it. Often, the most difficult beginnings can bring forth the deepest bonds.
A Real Man’s Love for His Wife
On a personal level, I can speak from my own experience as a husband. When my wife and I had our child, her body changed—of course it did. But those changes didn’t make me love her less. In fact, I fell deeper in love with her body after seeing the miracle it produced. The strength, the beauty, and the sacrifice it took to bring our child into the world made me admire her even more.
Charlie’s message helped me see this too. Motherhood is not something to be ashamed of, or something that “ruins” a woman’s body. It is something sacred, beautiful, and worth honoring.
Charlie’s Enduring Influence
Charlie Kirk’s voice was powerful not because he shouted the loudest, but because he spoke with clarity, respect, and compassion. He touched lives—including mine—not by tearing people down, but by building them up. His example showed that strength isn’t found in cruelty or domination, but in conviction, truth, and love for others.
That is the Charlie Kirk I will remember: a man who stood firm in his beliefs, who treated others with dignity, and who inspired me to look at life, family, and love in a whole new way.
RIP Charlie Kirk. I didn’t see eye to eye with you on everything, but you were always my favorite to watch. My prayers go out to your family and friends during this time. I truly feel as if I’ve lost a friend myself. Rest in peace, Charlie—a legend with a heart of gold
